What are "# of Users who can post lessons" ?

This just determines how many users can be set up as admins or authors on your account. Admins can control all aspects of your account and can post lessons. Authors can post lessons but cannot change account settings.

What are Online Manuals?

ScreenSteps Live lets you dynamically assemble lessons into online manuals. You can instantly update content, reorder, reorganize, and show/hide complete sections. You can also control access to online manuals using Reader Accounts (see below).

To see an example of what an online manual looks like on ScreenSteps Live checkout the ScreenSteps 2 manual.

What is the ScreenSteps Live API?

The ScreenSteps Live API lets you embed manuals from ScreenSteps Live into your own website or desktop application. You can learn more about the documentation deployment options and the ScreenSteps Live API here.

What are Authenticated Readers?

Authenticated Readers allow you to control access to your online manuals through what we call Reader Accounts. For example you might have a client for whom you have created some custom documentation. You can make sure that only that client has access to the documentation by setting them up with a Reader Account. When they login they will see the lessons. If they are not logged in then they won't.

What is a Lesson Package?

A Lesson Package is a powerful way to share and update ScreenSteps lessons in your organization. Say for example you are in your office in New York and post a lesson to ScreenSteps Live. Two weeks later your partner in Chicago needs to update that lesson. He can login to ScreenSteps Live, download the package, import it into ScreenSteps Desktop and he will have all of the original material that you used to create the lesson just as if he had created it himself. You never have to worry about who has the most current version of the lesson because it is always on ScreenSteps Live.

What browsers are supported?

Any modern browser can be used to view ScreenSteps Live Lessons so your content is as accessible as possible. In order to edit manuals you will need to use Firefox or Safari.
